I'm a SAHM with two great kids and the sweetest, most supportive husband in the world. I was born in the South and I am so blessed to still be living there.
I have loved to make things for as long as I can remember. Sometimes it's sewing, painting, cooking, gardening, or major DIY stuff with power tools. When I walk in a store it's always "Wait, I can make that, and that, and that"... Although, 75% of the time I don't. If I made everything I've said I was going to make it would probably take the next 20 years! And now that pinterest has come along I'm doomed! I think by far the best thing about having a blog is connecting with other people that share the same interests. Sometimes people don't understand picking up beat-up furniture off the side of the road and dragging it home and painting it with something called chalk paint and then distressing it to make it look beat-up again. When I need someone to understand my "madness" I just go to my fellow blogger friends and there's always someone else painting or sewing or doing something outrageously creative in which I am totally in awe. Join me as I explore all these creative blogs and the latest in design.
I now sell my furniture pieces and home-decor (some hand-made) at University Pickers in Huntsville, AL.
University Pickers has been a huge blessing in my life. I love to be creative with paint and see other people appreciate my work. I just started this journey in January and I can't wait to see where it takes me!

Welcome to Beneath the Magnolias! Hi, I'm Angie! I like paint brushes, glue guns, power tools, and old stuff, especially furniture. If it can be made I want to make it. If it can be painted I want to paint it. If it can be built, yep, I want to build it! I now sell my furniture pieces and home decor items at University Pickers in Huntsville, AL. I hope during your visit you will be inspired to craft, paint, and use power tools too. Let's be creative together.
